About MDsim
MDsim is a MedTech start-up based in Luxembourg advancing the field of in-silico medicine. Our main product, SPINEsim, is a Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) designed to transform spine health and improve the planning of surgical procedures. By combining advanced computer modeling and simulation (CM&S) with the power of data science and AI, we create digital twins of the spine to support clinical decisions. Our mission is simple yet ambitious: to bring proven technologies into healthcare and improve the quality of life of patients with spinal deformities worldwide.
Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the UI/UX of SPINEsim, a Software as Medical Device (SaMD) and Digital Health platform. Your main responsibilities are:
• Design and evolve the user interface and experience of SPINEsim, ensuring an elegant, intuitive, and high-performing application.
• Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes in Figma and collaborate with product and development teams to mature designs into implementation.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions with surgeons and clinical experts.
• Translate complex clinical and biomechanical workflows into clear, user-centered design solutions.
• Collaborate with product management, marketing, quality, and regulatory teams to align design with medical device standards (SaMD) and usability regulations.
• Contribute to MDsim’s brand and visual identity, ensuring consistency across digital channels and marketing assets.
• Support marketing initiatives by creating visually compelling presentations, graphics, and product materials to promote SPINEsim
• Stay up to date with UI/UX trends, digital health innovations, and medical device usability standards (IEC 62366, FDA HFE).
Your Profile
Experience
• 3+ years of experience designing sophisticated digital products or platforms.
• Proven track record in high-end interface design emphasizing usability, accessibility, and aesthetic excellence.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and design systems.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, product, and regulatory teams.
Academic Background
Technical Skills
• Proficiency in Figma and other design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, etc.).
• Ability to present and justify design decisions.
• A portfolio demonstrating modern, refined, and human-centric design work.
Soft Skills
• Fluent in English, additional languages welcomed
• Excellent communication and teamwork
• Great attention to details, organizational aptitude, and an analytical mind
• Highly motivated with a “can do” attitude
• Purpose driven
• Hard working
